Perseverance makes a driver to the winning driver - 11-speed drive system of the latest generation. For the new Dura Ace 9000 series Shimano has evolved each system component, used to create one of the most innovative component group sets of all time.

One of the outstanding results of this new development is the variety of transmission possibilities, corresponding to the already known "rider tuned" concept. The new 11-speed drive allows each driver to "tune" the bike for each specific application by various gradations.

With a revised gear ratio in combination with the ST-9000 levers and the polymer-coated shifting cables, the Dura Ace FD-9000 front derailleur ensures lower switching powers. The amended design provides more responsive and easier shifting. Shifting forces are consistently over the entire transmission range. A newly developed support screw ensures stable contact with the frame.
